Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova lost the chance in winning her come back game in the Rogers Cup (Toronto Cup) against Elena Dementieva with a score of 6-4, 6-3 on Centre Court at Rexall Centre. Both Russian players met on the finals after they successfully beat their rivals on the semis.

Russian tennis star, Maria Sharapova makes to the finals in the Toronto Cup / Rogers Cup 2009 after a year of absence in tournaments. Her win against Alisa Kleybanova with 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 victory qualified Sharapova to the Toronto Cup finals. “She hits a pretty powerful ball,” said Sharapova of her opponent. This semi-finals gave her 2.5 hours long of A-game but in the end Sharapova won the final set to grab the chance to the finals.

The Williams will surely rock the tennis world again as the sisters will meet again for the final showdown of the Wimbledon 2009 ladies finals. Venus Williams defeated Dinara Safina and Serena Williams beaten Elena Dementieva to qualify to the finals. Venus consumed 51 minutes to give Safina the only lost that she got from the tournament while Serena played the game that is considered to be the longest Wimbledon ladies match game against Dementieva playing at almost 3 hours.
