The Hurt Locker is a war film that grabs a lot of awards from the 82nd Oscars Annual Academy Awards 2010. The film won Best Picture, Best Directing, Best in Film Editing, Best in Sound Editing, Best in Sound Mixing, and Original Screenplay (Writing).


The story revolves on the early stages of the post-invasion period in Iraq in 2004. The lead actor is an expert member of the U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit responsible for checking bombs and detonating it in the desert before the rest unit moved on.

The film stars Jeremy Renner (as SFC William James), Anthony Mackie (SGT Sanborn), Brian Geraghty (Specialist Owen Eldridge), Christian Camargo (LTC John Cambridge), David Morse (Colonel Reed), Evangeline Lilly (SFC Connie James) and Christopher Sayegh (12-yo Beckham).
