Lopez vs. Concepcion – The Challenge (WBO Featherweight Championship)

Watch out for the WBO Featherweight championship event featuring the undefeated Puerto Rican WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez (28-0, 25 KO’s) against the young Filipino challenger, Bernabe Concepcion (28-3-1, 15 KO’s) on July 10, 2010 beginning at 9pm E.T. at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. It will be a 12 rounds title fight were the crowd favorite JuanMa will be defending his current title.

It is said that this fight will be one of the biggest mismatch in the featherweight division where the champ Lopez is much older and taller than the young Concepcion, who is 22 younger than the 26-year-old Lopez, and also shorter at 5’4″. It is reported that Concepcion is predicted to fall in the arms of Lopez and will be beaten bad by the Puerto Rican making Bernabe an underdog on this match. The question now is will the young Bernabe deliver a great upset in the land of his opponent, grab and take home the WBO featherweight title? You must see it on Saturday to witness it yourself.

Part of the “The Challenge” event will be the match between Nonito Donaire (23-1, 15 KO’s) and Hernan Marquez (27-1, 20 KO’s) as the pre-fight match of the said boxing showdown. It is predicted that Donaire can easily defeat Marquez.
