Edwin Valero vs. Antonio DeMarco WBC Lightweight Showdown

Valero vs. DeMarco

Valero vs. DeMarco

Update: Valero wins again when DeMarco side threw their towel. See the video below.

Here’s one fight that you might want to watch prior to the Pinoy Power 3: Donaire vs. Guerrero, the fight between Edwin Valero (26-0-0, 26 KOs) of Venezuela and Antonio DeMarco (23-1-1, 17 KOs) of Mexico on February 6, 2010 (Saturday) at the Arena Monterrey, Mexico. The match is under the WBC (World Boxing Council) lightweight crown.

I find the fight very interesting as the undefeated “bad boy” Edwin Valero got a perfect score of 26-0-0 with 26 KOs and it will surely be a short game if it started with firing punches which usually happens on his every fight. SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING under cards, unbeaten, world-ranked Luis Carlos Abregu (28-0, 23 KOs) of Salta, Argentina, will be fighting Richard Gutierrez (24-3, 14 KOs), of Miami, Florida, via Arjona, Colombia, in a 10-round welterweight bout.

Here’s round 9 of the fight where DeMarco gets the beating of his life:
