Arturo Gatti (1972-2009) was a Canadian professional boxer born in Italy. He was believed to be murdered and found dead last Saturday, July 11 and the number one suspect for his murder was his 23-year old Brazilian wife, Amanda Rodrigues. Gatti retired in 2007 with a career record of 40-9 and 31 knockouts. Gatti was remembered by a lot of boxing fanatics as one of the most exciting fighter of all time. It was tagged to him because of his several exciting matches specially the Gatti vs Ward trilogy. Some of his greatest known opponents were Oscar De La Hoya, Leonard Dorin, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Alfonso Gomez.
Now, this coming July 17 to 18, HBO will remember Arturo Gatti by airing 3 of his best fight against Micky Ward which is dubbed as Gatti-Ward trilogy.

Update: Gatti’s death was ruled by Brazilian police as suicide. His wife released from the previous accusations.
