In January 23, 2010 Saturday at the Mecca of Boxing – Madison Square Garden, World boxing champions Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez, Steven Luevano, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Rogers Mtagwa will be fighting in a separate world featherweight titles. WBO junior featherweight champion Lopez will be moving up to challenge the title of Steven Luevano as featherweight champion. On the other hand, Gamboa will be defending his World Boxing Association championship belt against Mtagwa. Both fights will be televised live on HBO on the 2010 premiere telecast of Boxing After Dark, beginning at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT

Juan Manuel Lopez (27-0, 24 KOs) is from Caguas, Puerto Rico while Steven Luevano (37-1-1, 15 KOs) is from La Puente, California. Yuriorkis Gamboa (16-0, 14 KOs) is a native of Guantanamo who now hails from Miami, Florida while Rogers Mtagwa (26-13-2, 18 KOs) is a native of Dodoma, Tanzania.

Update: Lopez knocked out Luevano on the 7th round while Gamboa defended his title successfully by knocking Mtagwa on the 2nd round.
